A Butcher Shop in Portugal

Oil painting on canvas. This painting was inspired by the way butchers in small towns along the coast of Portugal display their cuts of meat. During my travels, I found the scene to be a harsh contrast between beauty and cruelty and I wanted to capture that same feeling with painting.
